Ryan Micik is a political research and communications consultant based in Oakland, California. He is an expert on state and federal public records laws, and has over 15 years of political/public affairs experience. He has served as research director for former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, the National Labor Table, and the Maryland Democratic Party. He previously was a senior account executive at VR Research in Oakland. He is the former deputy director of StateStat, a government performance management and accountability initiative. A longtime Democratic Party activist, he was among the youngest elected members of the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley.
